 CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS

·         As the Chief Technology Officer and Corporate Counsel at Employment Screening Partners, Inc. (ESP), brought critically needed cooperation and discipline to the 2 director and 35 manager/employee MIS department: instituted a major project redesign, network redesign, and improved reliability; chaired status meetings; and upgraded relations between Systems and its internal and external clients.

·         Led the troubleshooting and resolution of project-threatening problems with the in-house software packages on which the above (ESP) system is based, identifying and correcting 100’s of major “bugs” and major design flaws in the original implementation.  Brought the project in on schedule after it had been on the verge of complete failure.

·         As corporate counsel at ESP, negotiated and reviewed the work of outside counsel in the sale of a $10,000,000 subsidiary.  Re-drafted clauses, and persuaded buyer and buyer’s counsel on the need to accept our changes.

·         Made Director of Marketing at Modular Computer Systems, Inc. (MODCOMP) after selling interest in super-mini computer start-up venture to MDOCOMP.  Increased revenues from $56,000,000 to $76,000,000.  Managed a $6,000,000 outside development effort to deliver a prototype fault tolerant super-mini computer with the ability to dynamically alter instruction sets on the fly in less than two years.

·         Resolved serious start-up difficulties at TranSec Systems, Inc. by developing the Company’s first revenue generating product within 60 days, writing and selling private placement memorandums and raising $243,000 in venture capital and by a direct marketing campaign designed to generate revenues at a 4 to 1 ratio of sales to cost.  Sales went from $0 to $1,800,000 in less than a year.

·         Converted Kennedy Space Center’s obsolete IBM tape database system, installing new Control Data Corporation (CDC) Cyber 6600 systems and rewriting the database programs to work on the 6600.  Modified the NOS to meet Air force C-1 security concerns.

·         Managed group of 17 programmer analysts at CDC to provide pre and post sales support, product customization and proposal estimating and preparation at CDC resulting in exceeding annual revenue goals of $2,500,000 while staying under operating budget.

·         Met living expenses while attending law school on a full-time basis by maintaining a full-time computer consulting service to numerous clients in fields as diverse as a modeling agency, and architectural firm, an electrical contractor and various medical offices.
